The Yeongyang-eup Community Security Council of Yeongyang-gun organized the "Volunteer & Sponsor Appreciation Day."
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] The Yeongyang-eup Community Security Council in Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk (co-chairmen Oh Hyung-won and Kim Si-heung) held a "Volunteer & Supporter Appreciation Day" on the 23rd to express encouragement and gratitude to volunteers, sponsors, and talent donors who generously gave their time and resources throughout the year for the underprivileged in Yeongyang-eup.
At this event, 32 local good stores and side dish sponsoring companies participating annually in spreading the culture of sharing, along with 11 delivery volunteers, were encouraged. Members of the Community Security Council personally visited the sponsoring stores to present gifts and express thanks, creating a valuable opportunity to ask for their active participation again next year.
These sponsors have continuously participated in practicing sharing in daily life despite the difficult economic conditions caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, donations collected through the good stores will be used meaningfully in 2023 to support local residents in welfare blind spots.
Public Committee Chairman Oh Hyung-won said, "We are very grateful to those who willingly donated funds and goods and volunteered for the underprivileged neighbors in the community even during these difficult times." He added, "Next year, the Yeongyang-eup Community Security Council will do its best to alleviate the difficulties of the underprivileged in welfare blind spots within the community."
