Lotte Mart to Sell Limited Edition 'Glenfarclas 25-Year Korea Edition'

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Mart announced on the 21st that it will launch the limited edition premium single malt whiskey, ‘Glenfarclas 25 Year Korea Edition’.

Lotte Mart will conduct a pre-order sale for 200 bottles starting at 3 PM on the 23rd through the Bottle Bunker exclusive application (app). Customers can participate in the pre-order by selecting their preferred store for pickup among Bottle Bunker Zetaflex, Sangmu Branch, and Changwon Central Branch on the Bottle Bunker exclusive app, with a limit of one bottle per person. A promotion will also be held to give a Glen Carron glass set to customers who participate in the pre-order.

The Glenfarclas 25 Year Korea Edition is a single malt whiskey produced by the Glenfarclas distillery, renowned for its sherry cask matured whiskey in Scotland. It is made without mixing water into the whiskey matured in casks used for the first time after removing the sherry wine, and will be released domestically in a limited quantity of 610 bottles. Sherry cask matured whiskey is characterized by its rich sweet flavors derived from dried fruits such as concentrated raisins and plums during the aging process.

A Lotte Mart official said, “We wanted to introduce this whiskey to domestic consumers because it uses sherry cask maturation and cask strength whiskey, which whiskey consumers prefer, and it is a whiskey rarely found in Korea,” adding, “We plan to continuously introduce various whiskeys that will captivate whiskey enthusiasts and consumers who are just beginning to experience whiskey.”
