Changwon Special City Appoints Osang-Ah as Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer of Changwon Municipal Dance Company

Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam appointed Osang-a as the artistic director and resident choreographer of the Changwon City Dance Company.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] On the 20th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced the appointment of Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer Oh Sang-ah as the artistic director of the Changwon City Dance Company.

Director Oh has led the Changwon City Dance Company for two years since November 2020, receiving favorable reviews from audiences for high-quality performances. She passed the final selection in the open recruitment for the artistic director of the Changwon City Dance Company and is expected to demonstrate her abilities once again as the artistic director and resident choreographer of the company.

Jo Myung-rae, the second vice mayor and director of the Changwon City Arts Group, said, “Despite the difficulties caused by COVID-19, the performances of the Changwon City Arts Group brought comfort and happiness to many citizens. In 2023, we plan to visit citizens with even more fulfilling performances alongside Artistic Director Oh Sang-ah, so we ask for your continued interest.”

Artistic Director Oh graduated from Geochang Girls' High School, Sejong University, and its graduate school, and earned a Ph.D. in Performing Arts from Sungkyunkwan University. She is the 27th holder of the Seungmu certification.
