Sports Island '8th KLPGA-KGCA Official Golf Practice Range'

[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] Sports Island in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, has been certified by the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) and the Korea Golf Practice Range Association (KGCA).

Sports Island was recently selected as the 8th site for the ‘KLPGA-KGCA Official Golf Practice Range Certification Project.’ The certification ceremony was attended by Lee Young-mi, Vice President of KLPGA, Yoon Hong-beom, President of KGCA, and Baek Seong-uk, CEO of Sports Island.

Sports Island is a customer-oriented company operating under the slogan ‘A Happy World Through Sports.’ It is a comprehensive sports center where various sports such as golf, swimming, scuba diving, health, squash, GX, and early childhood physical education can be enjoyed in one place. The golf practice range boasts a maximum distance of 250 yards and a total of 104 hitting bays.

"I am pleased to conduct the certification ceremony for an excellent golf practice range," said Vice President Lee Young-mi. She added, "I hope KLPGA members will benefit from this certification project," and promised, "Sports Island will also actively support the association to gain more benefits."

Since 2020, KLPGA has been conducting the official golf practice range certification project to popularize golf and develop the golf industry. KLPGA members receive benefits such as employment opportunities at practice ranges and discounts on usage fees.
