Dongseo University Department of Architecture Achieves Employment Success with Over 20 Students Joining Major Corporations Despite Job Market Challenges Dongseo University students are visiting Hyundai Construction Technology Training Center for a tour and a new technology workshop, taking a commemorative photo.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Department of Architecture at Dongseo University achieved the remarkable result of securing employment for over 20 students at major corporations despite the challenging job market, through practical training linked to recruitment utilizing the on-campus IFS space.

The background of this achievement lies in the joint operation of the class selling course with Hyundai Construction Technology Institute, which signed an MOU for a certification acquisition program and joint education linked to employment under Dongseo University's Industry-Academia Cooperation Leading University Development Project (LINC 3.0).

The Department of Architectural Engineering at Dongseo University has been operating the 'IFS 3.0 Construction Professional Workforce Training Track' jointly with Hyundai Construction Technology Institute since 2020 through an MOU for employment-linked courses to help students enter major corporations, resulting in successful employment outcomes.

The Department of Architectural Engineering, the only department in Busan selected as the Best National Department from the industry perspective by the Ministry of Education in the field of Architecture (Construction), saw 20 students gain final acceptance into major companies such as Hyundai Construction, Lotte Construction, and Samsung Engineering in 2022 alone.

Since March 2020, the department has successfully placed 46 graduates in large and public enterprises, with this number steadily increasing each year.

Hwang Ki-hyun, head of the LINC 3.0 project group, stated, “Based on this achievement, we will continue to promote practical training linked to recruitment using the on-campus IFS space and advance convergence education into various industrial fields such as new industries and cutting-edge industries.”
