On this day, Dobong-gu declared Snow Removal Measure Level 2, and employees from all departments were deployed on-site to carry out urgent snow removal work.


Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong-gu said, "I want to express my gratitude to all the staff who promptly engaged in snow removal today. Even after snow removal, accidents due to ice formation may occur, so we will maintain an emergency response system continuously. We also ask residents to help prevent incidents such as pipe bursts and to be careful not to slip while walking."

Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) swiftly launched snow removal operations on the afternoon of the 15th to address icy conditions on major roads, slopes, and vulnerable areas caused by heavy snowfall, minimizing inconvenience to residents with all employees including Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi participating.


The district operates three automatic brine spraying devices and twelve road heating systems to ensure effective snow removal from the early stages of snowfall. Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi visited sites with road heating systems installed on uphill and other vulnerable sections to prevent snowfall and ice-related accidents, carefully inspecting and listening to residents' opinions.


Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi of Jungnang-gu stated, "We will prepare thoroughly so that residents can have a safe winter despite cold waves or heavy snow through prompt and efficient snow removal including road heating systems. Since safety is the foundation of all policies, we will pay closer attention, communicate with residents, and create a secure city that residents can feel in their daily lives."

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yoo Seong-hoon) began snow removal operations on the 15th to minimize inconvenience to residents caused by heavy snowfall under the metropolitan area heavy snow warning.


First, to prevent traffic chaos during commuting hours caused by heavy snow, 15 snow removal vehicles were mobilized from 6 a.m. to complete pre-treatment such as spreading calcium chloride across all sections. In the afternoon, after snowfall, snow removal was promptly completed on main roads, hills, icy sections, and bridges?vulnerable road areas.


Additionally, the Snow Removal Headquarters manages disaster situations 24 hours a day and implements step-by-step snow removal measures during emergencies to actively prepare for any possible safety accidents.


Mayor Yoo Seong-hoon of Geumcheon-gu said, "We have enhanced initial snow removal response capabilities through prompt snow removal and additional introduction of road heating systems in vulnerable areas. We will continue to do our best to minimize resident damage caused by sudden heavy snowfall."

All Staff Fully Mobilized At 9 a.m. on the 15th, Guro-gu, which issued a Level 2 snow removal alert, focused all efforts on immediate snow removal work by spreading de-icing agents and shoveling snow in vulnerable areas such as side roads and alleys, as well as places closely related to residents' daily lives, including bus stops, subway stations, and areas around schools, through each neighborhood community center and district office department.

Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) entered an emergency work system by issuing Snow Removal Level 2 at 9 a.m. on the 15th in preparation for heavy snowfall.


The district held an urgent snow removal countermeasure meeting at the Disaster Safety Countermeasure Headquarters situation room in the district office, chaired by Deputy Mayor Eom Ui-sik, with attendance from the Director of the Safety and Construction Bureau, the Head of the Road Division, and other senior officials. They urged thorough snow and ice removal work to minimize damage to residents caused by the snowfall and cold wave on the day.


Accordingly, each community service center and district office department focused on immediate snow removal efforts by spreading snow removal materials and shoveling snow in vulnerable areas such as side streets, alleys, bus stops, subway stations, and school surroundings closely related to residents' daily lives.


A Guro-gu official said, "We will closely monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to prevent inconvenience to residents caused by continuous snowfall and cold waves. We ask residents to be especially careful of slipping on icy roads and traffic safety when going out."

Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Lee Gi-jae) conducted large-scale snow removal operations on the 15th, when heavy snowfall occurred, to prevent safety accidents and minimize inconvenience to residents by raising the Snow Removal Headquarters to Level 2 and mobilizing community service centers and headquarters personnel to major arterial roads and side streets.


In particular, the newly expanded remote liquid snow removal spraying devices were fully activated to distribute liquid snow removal agents in real-time throughout the district.


Also, starting from 1 p.m. on the day of heavy snowfall, the district issued snow removal support orders to all departments, immediately dispatching half of the district office staff to 18 community centers to carry out thorough snow removal operations.

With a heavy snow special warning issued in Seoul, Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) is fully mobilizing administrative resources on the 15th to carry out snow removal operations.


The district declared Snow Removal Level 2 and is conducting snow removal on 46 main arterial and side street routes including Jeongneung-ro, apartment access roads, and other major side streets to minimize resident damage such as safety accidents.


Work is being carried out in cooperation with private companies and civic groups as well as district employees. In addition to district snow removal vehicles, private equipment will be deployed as needed. Road heating systems are operated on slopes to ensure road safety, and vulnerable areas will be regularly inspected and treated with snow removal agents according to snow removal measures to prevent winter road traffic accidents.


Mayor Lee Seung-ro of Seongbuk-gu said, "We will closely monitor weather conditions with 24-hour monitoring and respond quickly and efficiently to snowfall. Since Seongbuk-gu is a hilly area, we will immediately operate road heating systems and swiftly deploy snow removal personnel to prevent any casualties, responding with full effort."


The district has designated the winter snow removal period from November to March next year and operates the Snow Removal Headquarters situation room 24 hours a day even during normal times.

Jung-gu, Seoul (Mayor Kim Gil-seong) put all efforts into snow removal on side streets on the 15th. As snowfall subsided by 3 p.m., employees from 15 community centers mobilized all snow removal tools to clear the snow. Special attention was paid to uphill roads and steep stairs, where falls could occur on frozen paths due to the ongoing cold wave.


Mayor Kim Gil-seong said, "I commend the staff who worked hard on snow removal despite the cold wave so that residents can walk safely without worry." He also added, "Jung-gu will continue to keep steep side streets and stairs passable by melting ice. We ask residents to also participate in snow clearing."
