December 15-17 at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1, Various Contents
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan City will jointly hold the "2022 Busan Money Show," the largest financial technology expo in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam region, with Maeil Business Newspaper from the 15th to the 17th at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1. The event aims to enhance Busan's status as a financial hub, provide guidance on the latest wealth management trends, and forecast the 2023 economic market.
Now in its 12th year, the "2022 Busan Money Show" features an exhibition with about 225 booths operated by 70 companies from financial public enterprises, institutions, fintech (financial technology), and related fields. The event includes wealth management seminars (covering stocks, real estate, bonds, REITs, and other asset management), institutional and corporate recruitment briefings, and a special exhibition at the World Currency Museum.
At the exhibition, major financial public institutions and companies will form a financial corporate pavilion to promote their organizations and financial products, as well as hold recruitment briefings.
In the Busan Fintech Hub Zone, over 40 fintech-related companies will participate, offering various content such as business performance sharing sessions and "Masters Relay," where current key figures share their work stories.
The Korea Exchange has chosen Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) as the theme for its promotional booth, operating an eco-friendly paper booth and programs utilizing the metaverse, providing eco-friendly gifts, and preparing wealth management lectures.
Regarding wealth management seminars, leading domestic experts from various fields will be invited to provide opportunities to forecast the future amid challenging financial conditions. Seminars will cover diverse topics such as 2023 economic market predictions, asset allocation strategies in an uncertain global stock market environment, and the era of the three highs (high inflation, high interest rates, and high exchange rates).
Additionally, a special exhibition at the "World Currency Museum" will introduce real-world currency materials, operate experience corners, and offer lectures such as "Detecting Counterfeit Bills and a World Tour with Currency."
Admission to the exhibition is free with pre-registration (a 5,000 KRW fee applies for on-site registration). For more details, please refer to the "2022 Busan Money Show" website or contact the secretariat.
Park Jin-seok, Busan City's Financial Startup Policy Officer, stated, "Through this event, financial institutions and related companies can share the latest information on digital finance and form networks within the industry. For citizens interested in wealth management, it will be a valuable opportunity to forecast the future despite difficult financial conditions," urging active interest and participation.
He added, "Going forward, the city will continue to foster star companies and actively promote fintech development industries by discovering various support projects so that Busan can lead in fintech and financial technology-related industries."
