Subscription to bundled products like 'Yojum Family Plan' available
Expansion of plans including 3 types of 5G and 1 type of LTE
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] SK Telecom has revamped its online-only plan 'Untact Plan' into the 'Direct Plan.' The subscription conditions have been relaxed, and the number of plan options and benefits have been significantly increased.
On the 14th, SK Telecom eased the conditions to allow customers currently subscribed to existing contract plans to transfer their contracts and join the 'Direct Plan' without any penalty fees. The Direct Plan can also be subscribed to alongside bundled wired and wireless products such as the ‘Yojeum Family Plan.’ The previous online-only plans were criticized for limitations as they did not qualify for family bundle discounts. Single-person households and engaged couples can also subscribe.
The number of plan options has increased to 11. The new online-only 5G plans include three types: ‘Direct 5G 48’ offers 110GB of data (up to 5Mbps after depletion) for 48,000 KRW per month; ‘Direct 5G 55’ offers 250GB of data (up to 5Mbps after depletion) for 55,000 KRW per month; and ‘Direct 5G 69’ provides unlimited data for 69,000 KRW per month. The new LTE plan ‘Direct LTE 30’ offers 2.5GB of data (up to 400kbps after depletion) for 30,000 KRW per month.
The ‘Direct 5G 55,’ ‘Direct 5G 62,’ and ‘Direct 5G 69’ plans provide additional benefits such as smart device fee support and subscription perks for services like Uju Pass, Wavve, and Flo, depending on the monthly fee level. Discounts on smart devices and device damage insurance benefits are also offered free of charge through promotions. The existing Direct 5G 38 plan has increased its data allowance to 11GB.
