- Completion of Seoul Port Opens Waterways to Major Domestic and International Tourist Destinations
- Armed with Unprecedented Benefits from Digital Finance Special Zone and Rapid Integrated Planning for Reconstruction
The 'Seoul Port Development Project,' which was scrapped in 2012, is restarting, drawing attention to the Yeouido area in Seoul as the biggest beneficiary.
The 'Seoul Port Development Project' is part of Seoul City's 'West Sea Shipping Route to the World' initiative, aiming to establish an international passenger terminal, Seoul Port, on the current Yeouido pier site. This will enable large cruise ships to dock, meaning a water transportation system will be established allowing travel from Yeouido to major domestic and international tourist destinations. Once completed as planned, tourists will be able to take cruises from Yeouido to places like China and Jeju Island.
Starting next year, regular cruise operations between the Han River and the Gyeongin Ara Waterway are planned, followed by the creation of 'Seoul Port' in Yeouido (scheduled for 2026). If 'Han River-customized vessels' are introduced, considering the Han River's depth, bridge height, and pier spacing, new routes enabling overseas travel from Yeouido are highly likely to be established. Tourism resources such as international conference centers and floating hotels linked to Yeouido's international financial district are also expected to be secured.
Demand is increasing for the Yeouido housing market due to the rarity of cruise overseas travel, which cannot be enjoyed anywhere else in Seoul. As Yeouido is a central location with high infrastructure density and is on the verge of another rise in regional value due to ongoing development projects, it is attracting attention not only for residence but also as an investment opportunity.
The representative new complex being offered in Yeouido is 'Acro Yeouido The One.' Located on the former Yusoo Holdings site in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, it consists of 492 units across 7 basement floors to 29 above-ground floors. It offers a variety of unit types: △49㎡A with 114 units △49㎡B with 78 units △59㎡ with 144 units △99㎡ with 52 units △119㎡A with 26 units △119㎡B with 52 units △119㎡C with 26 units, broadening choices for buyers.
This complex is situated in a prime location that benefits from various development projects centered around Yeouido. If Seoul Port is completed and operational as planned, residents will enjoy the unique advantage of boarding nearby cruises without needing to travel to Incheon or Gimpo for overseas trips, offering a special convenience unavailable elsewhere.
Moreover, various developments are accelerating to elevate Yeouido as a global financial city. These include the Yeouido Digital Financial Special Zone project with an investment of 250 billion KRW and the Seoul Digital Financial Hub Support Center for fostering the fintech industry, reinforcing its position as a global financial hub. With rapid integrated planning, the reconstruction floor area ratio has increased up to 400%, allowing residential buildings over 60 floors, signaling a major transformation of Seoul’s skyline.
True to Yeouido’s prestige, the complex is presented as a high-end luxury residential complex. The building facade is inspired by New York buildings, with bronze metal panels applied to the exterior gates, adding a sophisticated touch. Beyond mere aesthetic beauty, it is expected to become a landmark representing Yeouido, instilling great pride in its residents. The interior is decorated with diverse art pieces to embody the design concept of 'a shining star in the heart of Yeouido.'
The living spaces are designed with higher ceilings (up to 2.60m) compared to typical apartments, providing an open and spacious feel. Luxury fixtures from GESSI, Italy’s top market share brand, including premium faucets and art wall ceramic tiles, are provided free of charge. Picture rails are installed on walls to display and appreciate artworks.
High-end community facilities befitting the luxury status are also included. The approximately 973-pyeong Club Acro features a luxury indoor pool finished with premium materials, a private golf lounge, society club, open library, fitness club, and Club Acro lounge?amenities typically found in high-end hotels.
A rooftop garden offering views of Namsan and the Han River from Yeouido’s city center will be created within the complex. The rooftop garden is divided into private garden, floating garden, glamping garden, and brunch garden, allowing residents to enjoy according to their preferences. The annual Yeouido Fireworks Festival can also be viewed from the garden.
Considerable effort has been made to ensure residents’ safety and privacy. A drop-off zone connected to elevators is planned on each basement level 3 core, enabling private movement routes. Compared to other products, the complex offers ample parking spaces and wide parking areas, enhanced by advanced LED lighting control systems and 360-degree CCTV, maximizing parking convenience. Shared storage rooms, elevators equipped with air purifiers and sterilizers, and integrated AI and IoT control systems provide residents with a comfortable and safe living environment.
In terms of transportation, the complex is located near Yeouido Station on subway lines 5 and 9, making public transit convenient. GTX-B, the Western Line, and the Shinansan Line are under development. Once all planned lines open, residents will have access to six lines nearby, including the Sinlim Line. The complex is directly connected via underground passage to Yeouido’s iconic IFC Mall and The Hyundai Seoul, offering excellent convenience. Yeouido Park and Yeouido Hangang Park are adjacent, providing natural leisure options such as walking and jogging.
The biggest merit of 'Acro Yeouido The One' is that there are no additional costs beyond the down payment until completion. Both 50% of the down payment and 60% of the interim payment are available as interest-free loans, eliminating interest burdens and attracting both homebuyers and investors. As a residential officetel, no financing plan is required, and it is not classified as a house, exempting it from acquisition tax surcharges.
Additionally, all units come equipped with built-in refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, and ceiling system air conditioners in each bedroom and living room. Entrance storage pantries and dressing rooms are provided in all unit types, alleviating storage concerns. Finishes include free provision of Italian luxury brand GESSI faucets, entrance sliding doors, and art wall ceramic tiles in all units.
Real estate officials from Yeongdeungpo-gu, Yangcheon-gu, and Mapo-gu agree, saying, "'Acro Yeouido The One' offers an eco-friendly lifestyle and excellent residential convenience, being just steps from Yeouido Station and Hyundai Department Store, and adjacent to Yeouido Park. Many customers are waiting for supply in this area, and with its rare high-end amenities and differentiated Acro brand features, it is receiving strong interest and inquiries even in a sluggish sales market."
Meanwhile, 'Acro Yeouido The One' is currently operating a housing exhibition center, with first-come, first-served unit selection and advance visit reservations underway.
