[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Maniker is showing strong performance. It is interpreted that the news of chicken prices reaching an all-time high has had an impact.
As of 10:31 AM on the 13th, Maniker is trading at 1,220 KRW, up 0.83% from the previous day.
According to the chicken price data released by the Korea Broiler Association the day before, the price of broiler chicken per kg reached 3,090 KRW, marking an all-time high. This is the first time the price per kg has exceeded 3,000 KRW. It increased by 35% compared to a month ago (2,290 KRW) and surged 94% compared to a year ago (1,590 KRW).
The cause of the price surge is the World Cup effect. During this period, chicken sales increased, driving prices up. Additionally, the cold wave and highly pathogenic avian influenza (AI) also had an impact.
Maniker is a company that produces and sells broiler chicken products. Recently, in line with the trend of well-being dietary culture, it has been developing various functional products and continuing its growth momentum.
