BPA officials are holding a follow-up meeting on overall construction measures, including schedule recovery, at the large-scale construction site of Busan Port.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan Port Authority (BPA) held a follow-up measures meeting on the overall construction work, including making up for the progress of large-scale construction sites at Busan Port, at the Busan New Port South Container Terminal (Stages 2-6) construction site on the 9th, following the withdrawal of the Cargo Solidarity strike.
The meeting was attended by 25 representatives from large construction sites at Busan New Port, who identified difficulties at each site caused by transportation delays of ready-mixed concrete, rebar, and high-performance admixtures due to the 16-day Cargo Solidarity strike, and discussed follow-up measures.
They also checked site-specific measures after the withdrawal of the Cargo Solidarity strike and exchanged information by sharing plans to bring the overall construction back on track as soon as possible.
Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, said, “Through close cooperation and preparation of measures with companies related to the construction, please make every effort to restore all construction sites to their pre-strike conditions, and especially do your best to ensure that the operation of Terminals 2 to 5 can commence on schedule.”
