Bat Corporation, an agricultural company (CEO Lee Miso and Choi Dongnyeok, hereinafter referred to as Bat Co.), is donating sponsorship funds and goods worth approximately 20 million KRW to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation Gangwon Regional Headquarters (Director Lee Changsoo) and holding the 8th ‘Merry Potato Day’.
Bat Co. is donating 3 million KRW in sponsorship funds, 300 boxes of potato bread, and 300 sets of Bat Trolley & Bat Dish goods through the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation Gangwon Regional Headquarters (Director Lee Changsoo), providing warm sharing to melt the harsh winter cold with sponsorship worth about 20 million KRW.
Bat Co. has been carrying on the ‘Samto Sharing Dakgalbi Day’ held from 2015 to 2019 by Lee Sanggu, former CEO of Samto Famous Dakgalbi and father of CEO Lee Miso, and has been holding ‘Merry Potato Day’ since 2020. The 8th ‘Merry Potato Day’ has special significance in that it demonstrates ‘good influence’ that induces sharing, not just simple sponsorship.
The Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation and Bat Co. are recruiting sponsors who will become potato Santas for children through Merry Potato Day. From Monday, December 19 to Friday, January 6, 2023, for three weeks, if you make a regular donation of 10,000 KRW or more per month through the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, potato bread will be delivered as a sponsorship gift to sponsors and the homes of sponsored children. Sponsorship applications can be made through the official Instagram of Cafe Gamjabat or by contacting the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation Gangwon Regional Headquarters.
In addition, the 3 million KRW sponsorship fund will be used by the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation Gangwon Regional Headquarters to support heating costs and heating supplies for children in the Chuncheon area through the ‘Warm Winter’ project of the 2022 Santa Expedition held every winter. The potato bread and Bat Trolley & Bat Dish goods will be delivered to the homes of low-income children in the province through the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation.
A Bat Co. official said, “We are pleased to share good influence through the 8th Merry Potato Day event, continuing the tradition of sharing,” and added, “We hope many people will participate to become potato Santas for children together with Gamjabat this winter.”
Meanwhile, Bat Co. has practiced sharing through Merry Potato Day by delivering sponsorship funds and potato bread worth 6 million KRW at the 6th Merry Potato Day and 17 million KRW at the 7th Merry Potato Day.
