"Just an Attempt by the Democratic Party to Shake the Government"
"Should Not Respond to the Democratic Party with 'Superficial Fashion Politics'"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Hyun-ji] Jang Je-won, a member of the People Power Party, stated regarding the ‘Itaewon Crowd Crush Disaster’ parliamentary investigation, “It was an issue that should never have been agreed upon in the first place.”
On that day, Jang said on his social network service (SNS), “The parliamentary investigation demanded by them (the Democratic Party of Korea) is nothing but an attempt to shake the government and a movement to oust the administration.” He added, “The Democratic Party members are political assassins who wear the mask of politics but carry knives in their hearts,” and criticized, “We must not be deceived by the sweet whispers about being ‘rational’ against the Democratic Party group and respond with ‘superficial fashion politics.’”
He said, “They (the Democratic Party) are rejecting all the first livelihood budgets reflecting the Yoon Seok-yeol administration’s policy direction and all bills containing reform tasks promised by President Yoon during the presidential election,” calling it “refusal to accept the election results.” He added, “It has been proven that no cooperation or dialogue with the Democratic Party is possible anymore.”
Regarding the Democratic Party’s vote on the motion to dismiss Minister Lee Sang-min, he also shot back, “Because overwhelming testimonies and evidence are tightening around Representative Lee Jae-myung,” and said, “The people and livelihood are nowhere to be found; it’s solely about ‘saving Lee Jae-myung.’”
