[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hee-jun] On the 10th, the People Power Party criticized the calendar sales project featuring illustrations of former President Moon Jae-in and his pets as a "bundle of contradictions."

Jang Dong-hyuk, the floor spokesperson for the People Power Party, stated in a commentary on the same day, "Yesterday, the Pungsan dogs 'Gomi' and 'Songgang,' which former President Moon raised and then returned to the government, were transferred to Gwangju Uchi Zoo," adding, "It is hard to imagine what feelings Gomi and Songgang might have while looking at the calendar."

This calendar sales project is a business producing and selling a calendar for the next year themed around former President Moon Jae-in with his pets Maru, Tori, Daun, and Jjingjjingi. The publishing company, led by Moon’s daughter Dahye, is conducting the project on the crowdfunding platform 'Tumblbug' as part of a support initiative for abandoned dogs.

Spokesperson Jang referred to a passage in the project description stating, "He (former President Moon) cherishes all living things," and continued his criticism. In particular, he asserted former President Moon’s responsibility for the "West Sea government official shooting incident," directly questioning, "I want to ask if he truly cherishes all living things."

He further stated, "The public is asking what was more important than the life of the late Lee Dae-jin, and why 'Gomi' and 'Songgang' were excluded from all living things," emphasizing, "All living beings come before a calendar."

Additionally, Representative Park Soo-young wrote on his Facebook on the same day, "It is a bundle of contradictions to make and sell a calendar to help abandoned dogs while abandoning the Pungsan dogs he raised," and Representative Kwon Seong-dong criticized on Facebook the day before, "Now is not the time to be making abandoned dog calendars. It is even less appropriate for someone who gave up Pungsan dogs to do so."
