The Singapore Tanamera Country Club (par 72, 6,486 yards), the battleground of the 2023 season opener of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, the Hana Financial Group Singapore Ladies Open (total prize money 1.1 million Singapore dollars), received high praise. From the first round that started on the 9th, players expressed their satisfaction. Lim Hee-jeong evaluated, "They closed the course and managed it, so the fairway and green conditions are very good."
Tanamera Country Club is a members-only club. At the request of Hana Financial Group, the club stopped accepting reservations and began course maintenance a week before the tournament started. To make the teeing grounds, fairways, and roughs the best, the golf course staff gave up their rest. The areas around the bunkers and bunker lips, which had been poorly maintained, were transformed to the extent that they are worthy of a tournament course.
Near the teeing ground of the 1st hole, a natural grass practice range with 25 bays was created. TrackMan, which measures distance and trajectory using radar technology, was installed at the bays. It provided accurate data to the players and helped them. In addition, putting greens and short game practice areas were also equipped. The golf course's consideration did not end there. The course gates were wide open to allow practice rounds with free tee times.
Hana Financial Group prepared a space on one side of the clubhouse where golf clubs can be inspected and repaired. They invited a local Singaporean club craftsman to create an optimal environment so that equipment would not interfere with the players' performance. In the players' lounge, free food is provided for players and caddies during the tournament. Also, shuttle buses are prepared for comfortable transportation, and emergency medical personnel are deployed to prepare for any accidents.
Hana Financial Group, which said, "We prepared the tournament with the mindset of improving the performance of participating players," added, "Since it is held overseas, there will certainly be shortcomings, but we will do our best so that all players and officials can leave the venue smiling until the last day."
