[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] A man in his 20s suspected of illegally filming hundreds of women while entering and exiting changing rooms has been handed over to the prosecution.

On the 9th, the Eunpyeong Police Station in Seoul announced that they transferred a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. A, on the 30th of last month on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (filming using cameras, etc.).

According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of illegally filming at 11 locations including restrooms, indoor sports facility changing rooms, cafes, and restaurants in the metropolitan area from July to October using a miniature camera.

Police investigations revealed that Mr. A wore a women's wig while entering restrooms and changing rooms.

In September, the police responded to a report of a camera installed in a restroom, and after analyzing closed-circuit television (CCTV), they arrested Mr. A in October.

The police reportedly seized cameras disguised as everyday items such as car keys from Mr. A's residence. The police secured 355 illegal recordings, and the number of confirmed female victims is said to be around 200.
