Hansu-won Cheongsong Pumped Storage Power Plant Sponsors Winter Clothing for Cheongsong-gun Dream Start

Hansu-won Cheongsong Pumped Storage Power Plant Sponsors Winter Clothing for Cheongsong-gun Dream Start Cheongsong Yangsu Power Plant donated winter clothing to Cheongsong-gun Dream Start to help children from vulnerable groups stay warm during the winter.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, announced that on December 8th, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Cheongsong Pumped Storage Power Plant donated 15 sets of winter clothing (worth 3 million KRW) to Cheongsong-gun Dream Start to help vulnerable children in the area stay warm during the winter.


Since 2016, Cheongsong Pumped Storage Power Plant has continuously sponsored winter clothing for vulnerable children every year. In addition, as a public-private cooperative support project, it supports various beneficiary projects such as psychological rehabilitation programs and funding for various experiential activities for children who need psychological and emotional treatment.


Bae Bong-won, head of the Pumped Storage Power Plant, said, “We hope that the warm hearts willing to share will be delivered to vulnerable children in the region so that they can get through the cold winter well, and that this will serve as an opportunity to spread a culture of sharing in the local community. We plan to continue supporting vulnerable children in the region so that they can grow into healthy members of society.”


Yoon Kyung-hee, mayor of Cheongsong-gun, said, “We thank Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Cheongsong Pumped Storage Power Plant for sending warmth to the children who are the future of Cheongsong. Since the culture of sharing greatly helps children growing up in the cold winter, the administration will do its best to create various support measures.”


The winter clothing delivered this time is scheduled to be distributed to 15 vulnerable children in the area, including children from basic livelihood security recipient families, multicultural families, grandparent-headed families, and single-parent families.
