Saenghwal Maekju Launches ‘Premium Steamed Fish Cake Soup’ to Warm Up Winter Cold

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Saenghwal Maekju announced on the 9th that it will launch a new menu item for the winter season called ‘Premium Steamed Fish Cake Soup’.


The Premium Steamed Fish Cake Soup, launching on the 12th, is a broth dish featuring a variety of steamed fish cakes and skewered fish cakes made only from high-quality fish meat. The steamed fish cakes made from premium raw meat are not fried in oil, resulting in lower fat and sodium content, while maintaining the rich protein of the fish and a chewy texture.


The fish cake hot pot sauce, based on katsuobushi extract, is enhanced with domestic green onions and Cheongyang chili peppers to maximize a spicy and refreshing flavor. Additionally, Saenghwal Maekju’s best side menu item, the ‘Plump Shrimp Bar,’ is added to increase the heartiness.


The beer that pairs well with the Premium Steamed Fish Cake Soup is the ‘Hit Lager.’ The citrus notes of lime in Hit Lager enhance the texture of the fish meat in the fish cakes and shrimp bar, and when combined with the savory taste of the fish cake soup, they maximize each other’s flavors. The rich taste of the fish cake hot pot sauce is cleanly finished with a light and refreshing throat feel.


Meanwhile, Saenghwal Maekju opened its Maronie branch in Daehangno last week, bringing the total number of directly operated stores to 37.
