The 4th Damyang Santa Festival Held After 3 Years Brings Year-Round Enjoyment

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang-gun is busy preparing for the ‘Damyang Santa Festival’ to attract winter tourists.

According to the county on the 8th, the Damyang Santa Festival will be held for three days from the 23rd to the 25th under the theme of ‘A Special Christmas Party with Santa’ at Damyang Meta Provence and the old downtown area.

The county and the Damyang Santa Festival Promotion Committee are installing nightscape lighting around Meta Land and Central Park, and placing unique photo zones and Christmas props throughout the festival site to prepare for welcoming tourists this winter.

The main event programs include a royal guard parade along with various performances and events such as carols, jazz, and magic performances, and they plan to prepare various attractions and entertainment such as a Christmas flea market.

In addition, poinsettia flowers matching the festival will be placed throughout the old downtown streets to create a bright urban atmosphere, and carol music will resonate around Central Park and the LP Music Charging Station area, further enhancing the year-end mood.

County Governor Lee Byung-no said, “Since this is the first festival in three years, we are preparing to satisfy both residents and tourists,” adding, “We will create a festival that brings joy to visitors and contributes to revitalizing the local economy.”
