To Cultivate Emergency Response Skills... Air Busan Conducts CPR Training for Local Parents An Air Busan official is conducting cardiopulmonary resuscitation training for local parents.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Air Busan is conducting a three-day cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training starting from the 7th to inform local parents about the importance of CPR and proper emergency response methods.

This CPR training is being held for 43 participants recruited over a month since last November from ‘Myeongji Eco Mom,’ a parents' cafe near the company headquarters in Myeongji-dong.

Air Busan explained that considering the recent rise in public awareness about safety accidents and growing interest in first aid methods, the CPR training was conducted to expand the local community safety network and strengthen the emergency response capabilities of local residents.

The training is conducted directly by a cabin crew safety instructor at the Air Busan headquarters' first aid practice room, where participating parents receive education on ▲ the importance and basic procedures of CPR ▲ chest compressions and artificial respiration ▲ calling 119 and cardiac arrest prevention ▲ airway obstruction response methods.

An Air Busan official said, “Rapid and immediate initial response in emergency situations can save precious lives,” adding, “We will continue to provide educational opportunities where local residents can easily and accurately learn emergency response methods to enhance their initial response capabilities and take the lead in building a safer Republic of Korea.”

Since being officially designated as a training institution by the Korean Association of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in February 2019, Air Busan has provided emergency response training to over 130 local residents, including parents of infants and young children, hospital ward volunteers, mothers' associations at elementary schools in Gangseo-gu, and social workers at local welfare centers.
