Hanssem Receives Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award for '2022 Sustainable Management Excellence'

Excellence Proven by Leading Evaluation Agencies Including KCGS and Sustainvest

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Hanssem Co., Ltd., a comprehensive home interior specialist company, announced on the 8th that it received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Commendation at the ‘2022 Sustainable Management Government Awards’ held at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jung-gu, Seoul.

The Sustainable Management Government Awards are the largest government awards in the domestic sustainable management and ESG fields, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Productivity Center. They are awarded to organizations and groups that contribute to spreading and improving the culture of sustainable management and creating social value. Hanssem received this award in recognition of its continuous efforts in ESG management.

In fact, Hanssem achieved a comprehensive A grade for two consecutive years in the evaluation by the Korea ESG Standards Institute (KGCS). This achievement was made despite the evaluation model being revised to meet global standards and applying stricter criteria. Hanssem also received the highest AA grade for two consecutive years in the Sustinvest ESG evaluation. In August, it became the first company in the domestic home interior industry to join the UN Global Compact (UNGC), the world’s largest corporate voluntary initiative. Its efforts and achievements in realizing the 10 principles across four major areas?human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption?were highly evaluated.
