[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Daesang announced on the 8th that on the 7th, it held the event ‘2022 Happiness, More Sharing, More Delicious’ together with the Cheongjeongwon Volunteer Group, composed of executives, employees, housewives, and university students, at the Seoul Itda Food Bank Center in Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
The ‘2022 Happiness, More Sharing, More Delicious’ event is Daesang’s representative social contribution activity held since 2007 to support the improvement of dietary life and nutrition for marginalized groups. Every year, Daesang produces as many sharing boxes as the number of the year and delivers them to neighbors in need.
Daesang plans to deliver 2,022 sharing boxes produced this year together with the ‘Itda’ Food Bank and Market in 25 autonomous districts of Seoul to marginalized neighbors in welfare blind spots such as basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income groups, and single-parent families. The sharing boxes consist of 25 types of Cheongjeongwon products, Daesang’s representative food brands, including Cheongjeongwon Sunchang Gochujang, Cheongjeongwon Pasta Sauce, Miwon Ramen, and Curry King.
Na Gwangju, Head of Daesang ESG Management Office, said, “The ‘2022 Happiness, More Sharing, More Delicious’ event, now in its 15th year, is one of the most representative social contribution activities of Daesang, a food company,” and added, “We will continue to plan various social contribution activities that can move forward together with marginalized neighbors.”
Since 1998, Daesang has been practicing various social contribution programs including food donations to food banks, scholarship projects for low-income groups, emergency disaster relief, and volunteer activities by executives and employees. Recently, it has continued various community-linked public interest activities such as holding the ‘Love Sharing Bazaar’ with local residents at the new Jongno headquarters.
