Resolving Welfare Blind Spots, Prospects for Practical Household Economic Support
[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cha Jong-sun] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that starting from January next year, water and sewage fee reductions will be implemented for basic livelihood security recipients.
This reduction policy is expected to help eliminate welfare blind spots and provide practical financial assistance to basic livelihood security recipients.
The water and sewage fee reduction targets households receiving basic livelihood security residing in Gokseong-gun, and the reduction amount is 50% of the monthly usage fee.
Eligible recipients can apply by visiting the Gokseong-gun Water and Sewage Office or the local eup/myeon office of their residence with their recipient certificate.
The fee benefit will be applied from the month following the application date.
This reduction cannot be combined with the multi-child household water fee reduction.
A Gokseong-gun official stated, “We have implemented the water and sewage fee reduction system to alleviate the economic burden on basic livelihood security households. We will actively promote it to ensure that no one misses out on the benefits.”
