[Asia Economy Reporter Han Ye-ju] A large fire broke out at a printing factory in Incheon, prompting the fire authorities to issue a Level 2 response and begin extinguishing efforts.

According to the Incheon Fire Headquarters on the 7th, at around 7:16 PM, a fire broke out at a two-story printing factory in Seoknam-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon, spreading to nearby buildings. A total of 10 buildings, including the factory, were damaged by the fire, but no casualties have been reported.

As the fire erupted, black smoke billowed along with the flames, leading to multiple 119 emergency calls. Video footage taken by the fire authorities during the extinguishing operation showed a building engulfed in red flames leaning to the right as if collapsing, touching an adjacent building.

Seo-gu sent a disaster alert text message to residents, stating, "Due to the factory fire near Jungbong-daero, vehicle traffic is being controlled; please take detours."

The fire authorities issued a "Level 1 response" alarm at 7:33 PM, 17 minutes after the fire started, and raised it to a "Level 2 response" nine minutes later. About 100 firefighters and 61 pieces of equipment were deployed to the fire scene.

The fire authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire and the extent of property damage after the fire is completely extinguished.
