[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] The Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and the Ministry of Science and ICT will hold the 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Security Conference' on the 8th.
The conference will be operated in two tracks, Track A and B. In the morning session of Track A, the '6th AI Security Day Seminar' will be held to raise awareness of AI security and promote the industry. The seminar, under the theme "Repairing Artificial Intelligence!", will feature presentations on AI ethics policy trends and future tasks (Moon Jeong-wook, Director of the Korea Information Society Development Institute), a guide to developing trustworthy AI (Kwak Jun-ho, Team Leader of the Korea Information and Communications Technology Association), cyber threat detection and blocking methods using self-learning AI (Kang Ki-ho, Director), and security issues and solutions related to ML algorithm fairness evaluation (Park Sae-rom, Professor at Sungshin Women’s University).
Following this, three events will be held: AI Security Demo Day, AI Security Performance Sharing Meeting, and the AI+Security Excellent Paper and Idea Contest Awards Ceremony. At the 'AI Security Demo Day,' presentations and evaluations will be conducted to assess the commercialization and overseas expansion capabilities of participating companies in the 'AI Security Product and Service Commercialization Support Project.' The three companies selected as finalists will receive the KISA Director’s Award along with a total prize of 18 million KRW.
At the 'AI Security Performance Sharing Meeting,' three companies selected as outstanding among those participating in the AI security prototype development support project will present the development details and key achievements of their completed prototypes.
In Track B, a 'New Technology-Based Security Product Purchase Consultation Meeting' will be held to support market development for promising security companies based on new technologies such as AI.
Director Lee Won-tae stated, "We will continue to seek ways to develop markets and international cooperation to expand AI security products and services and strengthen the global competitiveness of security companies."
