Ulsan City will award the Ulsan City Honorary Citizen Plaque and commemorative medal to Army Colonel Kim Cheol-jin, commander of the 127th Infantry Brigade, at 10:30 a.m. on the 7th in the reception room on the 7th floor of the city hall main building.
Colonel Kim Cheol-jin, who will receive the honorary citizen plaque on this day, has been recognized for his efforts since assuming command of the brigade in 2020 to maintain an integrated defense posture among civilians, government, military, and police, establish protection measures for nationally important facilities, and contribute to stabilizing the blood supply in the Ulsan region through blood donations.
Ulsan City announced that twice a year, during the spring and fall seasons when blood supply is insufficient, Colonel Kim actively participated in blood donation campaigns with his unit members, greatly contributing to stabilizing the blood supply in the Ulsan area.
The Ulsan City Honorary Citizen Certificate is a system awarded to foreigners, overseas Koreans, and personnel from other cities or provinces who have made significant contributions to the development of city administration. Honorary citizens are appointed to various city committees and legal advisory roles and are honored by being invited to major city-related events such as local cultural festivals and commemorative ceremonies.
