[ePublic Notice Highlights] Samsung Heavy Industries, Sale of Drillship Worth 299.1 Billion KRW and More (Comprehensive)

[Asia Economy Reporter Myung-Hwan Lee] Samsung Heavy Industries announced on the 6th that it has decided to dispose of the Santorini drillship (oil drilling vessel) to Saipem, an Italian specialized drilling company.


The disposal amount is 299.1 billion KRW, which corresponds to 2.5% of the total assets. The purpose of the disposal is to secure cash through the sale of the drillship.

▲Kia=In response to reports that Gwangmyeong Plant 2 will completely suspend operations in the second half of next year, it disclosed, "We are reviewing construction to convert Gwangmyeong Plant 2 into an electric vehicle factory, but no specific details such as the scale or duration of the construction have been decided yet."


▲SsangYong Motor=Due to disruptions in the supply of automotive semiconductor components, automobile production will be suspended from the 8th to the 13th.


▲Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering=Subsidiary Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries announced that manufacturing production of ships, etc., will be suspended due to partial strikes related to the 2022 wage collective bargaining. The production suspension dates are from 1 PM to 5 PM on the 6th and from 1 PM to 5 PM on the 7th.


▲SNT Energy=Decided to merge KHI Co., Ltd. by absorption. The merger type is a small-scale merger, with SNT Energy as the surviving company.


▲HYBE=The mandatory holding period for 2,302,570 common shares held by Dunamu is scheduled to be lifted on the 9th.


▲Hancom Lifecare=Signed a supply contract with the Defense Acquisition Program Administration for K5 gas masks and others worth 11.135 billion KRW.


▲Hansol Technics=Signed a supply contract with LS Electric for solar modules worth 102.3 billion KRW.


▲I&C=Signed a supply contract with Korea Electric Power Corporation for K-DCU for the construction of the 5-2 phase AMI communication network worth 30.997 billion KRW.


▲Beomhan Fuel Cell=Signed a supply contract with Changwon Industry Promotion Agency for hydrogen charging station charging systems for cargo trucks worth 3.96 billion KRW.


▲Shindo Giyun=Signed a supply contract with Dongwoo Fine-Chem for smart window manufacturing equipment worth 3.17 billion KRW.
