[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Related stocks are showing strong performance following news that financial authorities have completed the review of Apple Inc.'s contactless payment system Apple Pay's terms and conditions.
As of 9:57 AM on the 6th, Korea Information & Communication was trading at 15,050 KRW, up 1,700 KRW (12.73%) compared to the previous trading day. Iruon and NICE Information & Communication also rose by 6.18% and 1.50%, respectively.
The day before, the Financial Supervisory Service completed the review of Apple Pay's terms and conditions. Financial authorities are reportedly further examining issues related to the distribution of NFC-compatible credit card terminals necessary for the Apple Pay service.
