JW Jungwoo Pharmaceutical, Dangjin Plant Achieves 'ISO45001' Certification... Quality, Environment, and Safety 'Grand Slam'

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] JW Pharmaceutical announced on the 6th that its pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Dangjin has obtained the 'Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO45001)' certification from the ICR International Certification Institute.

ISO45001 is an international standard certification established by the International Organization for Standardization in March 2018. It is awarded to companies or organizations that have established an occupational health and safety management system to prevent worker injuries and illnesses and provide a safe working environment.

JW Pharmaceutical has been preparing for ISO45001 certification since April. They set occupational health and safety management objectives and policies, and newly established four related regulations including internal audits, compliance with safety laws, and evaluations in addition to existing regulations.

By obtaining the ISO45001 certification this time, JW Pharmaceutical has achieved a quality, environment, and safety grand slam. JW Pharmaceutical acquired ISO14001 (Environmental Management System) certification in 2012 and ISO9001 (Quality Management System) certification in 2014.

A JW Pharmaceutical official stated, "We prioritize the safety and health of workers and are doing our best to establish a culture of occupational health and safety management," adding, "We plan to strengthen sustainable management through differentiated ESG management activities in the future."
