Enjoy with Local Residents... Silla University Hosts Cultural Arts Performance 'Saje Donghaeng Project' '2022 Saje Donghaeng Project' Promotional Poster.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Silla University will hold the cultural arts performance “2022 Saje Donghaeng Project,” which combines music, dance, and beauty design, at 6 p.m. on the 7th at Sasang Indie Station in Sasang-gu, Busan.

This performance, held as part of the University Innovation Support Project, was organized to showcase the educational achievements of the newly established Future Convergence Department’s practical dance, music, beauty design, and future convergence courses this year, and to provide local residents with an opportunity to enjoy cultural arts.

Residents of Sasang-gu and Busan citizens can enter and enjoy the performance free of charge.

Twelve professors and 38 students from Silla University’s Future Convergence Department have each taken on roles suited to their majors, such as music and dance performance, beauty, design, performance planning, and management, preparing a convergence-type project over one semester.

They plan to present a performance to the residents of Sasang-gu by condensing Silla University’s unique cultural arts education tradition and expertise.

The program on the day will consist of a music performance featuring two ocarina ensemble pieces, two vocal pieces, and four saxophone ensemble pieces, along with practical dance showcasing the hip sensibility of the MZ generation.

To communicate with local residents and across generations through cultural arts, the well-known song “My Heart Will Go On” will be performed by the ocarina ensemble, and songs loved by middle-aged and older generations such as “You Wouldn’t Know” and “Twist of Love” will be performed by the saxophone ensemble.

Lee Jung-sook, head of Silla University’s Future Convergence Department, said, “The innovative operation of our department’s curriculum is visibly producing results in nurturing cultural arts convergence talent,” and added, “I hope many people will take interest in this performance and participate to share in the achievements.”

Silla University’s Future Convergence Department is a department that provides educational services tailored to adult learners through creative curriculum design and flexible major selection.
