[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan Port Authority (BPA) was selected as an excellent organization for balanced personnel management and participated in the '4th Balanced Personnel Performance Sharing Conference' hosted by the Ministry of Personnel Management on the 2nd.
BPA has implemented policies such as customized recruitment for vulnerable employment groups including persons with disabilities and high school graduates, strengthening youth employment capabilities, advancing gender-equal personnel management throughout the lifecycle from recruitment to promotion, and efforts to foster and expand female leaders.
As a result, BPA ranked 9th overall (top 0.79%) in the 2021 Ministry of Employment and Labor's proactive employment improvement measures evaluation and was the only public institution selected as an excellent employer for the employment of persons with disabilities in 2022.
BPA President Kang Jun-seok said, "Being selected as an excellent organization for balanced personnel management is a meaningful achievement," and added, "We will strive to share and spread these achievements across all public institutions and will not neglect efforts to further advance balanced personnel management."
The '4th Balanced Personnel Performance Sharing Conference' was attended by about 120 officials from central government ministries, local governments, public institutions, and private companies, and BPA presented excellent cases of balanced personnel management representing public institutions.
