[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] The Korea Consumer Agency announced on the 5th that after testing 11 products from 8 yoga wear brands favored by consumers, there were differences in functionality, durability, and color change, and some products did not meet labeling standards.
To evaluate the absorption speed, which is the performance of quickly absorbing sweat, the agency measured it both when the products were new and after 5 washes. As a result, two products, Mula Wear’s ‘Air Comfy Jogger Leggings’ and Jeximix’s ‘Medium Feather Inband Jogger Pants,’ showed fast sweat absorption speeds both before and after washing.
Regarding drying speed, three products?Mula Wear (Air Comfy Jogger Leggings), Sculpig (Active Ventury Jogger Pants), and Jeximix (Medium Feather Inband Jogger Pants)?dried relatively quickly before and after washing, demonstrating excellent performance.
However, the Consumer Agency stated that two products, Andar’s ‘Air Fresh Jogger Fit Leggings’ and Jeximix’s ‘Black Label Signature 360N Light Jogger Leggings,’ did not absorb water within 60 seconds, making the drying speed test impossible.
Some products had water or friction fastness below the recommended standards, indicating a possibility of color transfer when wet or subjected to friction. Mula Wear’s ‘Active Comfy Jogger Pants’ showed insufficient performance compared to the recommended standard in the test for color transfer when wet. In the friction fastness test, three products?Andar’s ‘Air Moose Jogger Fit Leggings,’ STL’s ‘STL NY Belly Cover Quick Dry Jogger Pants,’ and Jeximix’s ‘Medium Feather Inband Jogger Pants’?did not meet the recommended standards.
Even for the same size, there were differences in detailed measurements. According to the Consumer Agency, all tested products were women’s medium size, but the total length of the pants varied by up to 11.5 cm depending on the product. The agency advised, “It is necessary to consider the product’s measurements when selecting products.”
