[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] Im Sung-jae (photo) has returned to the 'Top 20'.

Im Sung-jae rose two spots from 21st to 19th in the men's golf weekly world rankings announced on the 4th (local time) with a score of 3.7725 points. Im Sung-jae earned points by finishing tied for 8th at the Hero World Challenge (total prize money $3.5 million), an event hosted by Tiger Woods (USA) held at Albany Golf Course in the Bahamas (par 72, 7,414 yards). After dropping one spot from 20th to 21st in the world rankings on the 14th of last month, he re-entered the Top 20 within three weeks.

The Hero World Challenge is not an official PGA Tour event, but it does award world ranking points. There were no changes in the top five: Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Scottie Scheffler (USA), Cameron Smith (Australia), Patrick Cantlay (USA), and Jon Rahm (Spain). Viktor Hovland (Norway), the two-time defending champion of the Hero World Challenge, jumped from 12th to 9th. For Korea, Kim Joo-hyung maintained 15th place. Lee Kyung-hoon is 37th, Kim Si-woo 79th, and Kim Bi-o 131st.
