For Over 4,100 Riders and Connectors
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Woowa Brothers, which operates the logistics service for Baedal Minjok, announced on the 5th that it will provide cold-weather gear such as heated vests and auxiliary batteries to riders and connectors performing delivery tasks during the severe cold season.
On this day, Woowa Brothers provided 4,146 riders and connectors responsible for Baemin1 and Baemin B Mart deliveries with a set of three cold-weather items worth 100 million KRW free of charge.
The cold-weather item sets consist of three types: ▲ heated vest and auxiliary battery set ▲ cold-weather shoes and anti-slip spray set ▲ handlebar cold-weather sleeves and 3M winter touch gloves set. Along with the item sets, safety stickers for safe driving of delivery workers and publications containing winter safety precautions were also distributed.
Unlike the previous method of delivering predetermined items, this time the riders and connectors, the recipients, were allowed to choose one of the three sets themselves. The selection of items also actively reflected the opinions of the recipients. Based on survey results from recipients of the previous hot-weather item distribution, items with high preference were selected.
