December 6-7 Held at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 2
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan City will hold the '2022 Busan Mi(美) Art Festival' for two days on the 6th and 7th at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 2.
The 'Busan Mi(美) Art Festival,' a celebration for beauty professionals, is composed of various programs including beauty skills competitions to discover outstanding beauty talents and strengthen the competitiveness of the beauty industry.
This year's event will be conducted as an online-offline 'hybrid festival,' significantly increasing the proportion of face-to-face events so that citizens, exhausted from COVID-19, can have a healing time.
Face-to-face events include the existing beauty skills competitions as well as various citizen participation programs such as personal color diagnosis, hair shows, makeup experiences, and Mi Art photo studios where visitors can directly experience Busan beauty. Additionally, there will be a beauty university capstone competition, lectures by famous figures in the beauty field (beauty celebrities), and mentoring talk shows.
For the invited lectures by famous beauty figures, 'Cha Hong Hair Designer' will give a lecture titled 'How to Become a Trendsetter,' providing beauty professionals with insights into future trends and demonstrating new technologies, which is expected to greatly help enhance their competitiveness.
Major online programs include the 'What's in My Bag' event, where participants upload their own 'beauty items' on social networking services (SNS) and receive prizes through a draw, as well as festival review events.
The city expects that since this festival is held for the development of Busan's Mi Art, it will encourage active participation from academia and create an opportunity for local government, industry, and academia to cooperate organically.
Jo Bong-su, Director of the Citizen Health Bureau of the city, said, "The field of beauty is now evolving from a simple skill to an area that designs beauty and provides healing," adding, "The beauty industry is an irreplaceable creative field, and our city will continue to seek sustainable development directions centered on beauty organizations and academia and strive to actively support them."
Detailed information about the festival can be found on the official event website.
