[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the morning of the 4th, Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the '14th Yeongdeungpo District Mayor's Kendo Tournament' held at the Dorim-dong Multipurpose Badminton Gymnasium to encourage the participating players.

The tournament, hosted by the Yeongdeungpo District Kendo Association, was held in a tournament format across 10 team categories including elementary, youth, and adult divisions, with about 160 players participating and competing fiercely.

Mayor Choi Ho-gwon said, "I hope this tournament becomes an opportunity to fully demonstrate the skills honed through regular practice and to foster mutual friendship," adding, "We will strive to expand the base of community sports to promote lively leisure activities and health improvement for the residents."
