[Photo] Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Attends Nowon District Child and Youth Participation Organization Performance Sharing Meeting

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the '2022 Nowon-gu Children and Youth Participation Organization Performance Sharing Meeting' held at the Nowon-gu Office auditorium at 10 a.m. on the 3rd.

Nowon-gu is conducting various projects to ensure the participation and opinion collection of children and youth in policy-making, promote children's rights, and realize a child and youth-friendly city. This performance sharing meeting was organized to wrap up the activities of the year.

The event was attended by about 100 people, including Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, Kim Jun-seong, Chairperson of Nowon-gu Council, the Children and Youth Council, Participation Committee, Nado Architect, support team, instructors, and guardians. The program proceeded in the order of national anthem, introduction of guests, a performance delivering the Children’s Council policy ordinance proposal, and commemorative photo session.

In the first part of the event, achievements were presented: Children and Youth Council (8 cases), Children and Youth Participation Committee, Nado Architect (1 case each), and Children and Youth Participatory Budget (1 case). In the second part, attendees toured exhibitions by each participation organization and held awards related to exhibition viewing activities.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, said, "I send encouragement and support to the children and youth who actively participated in the district administration throughout the year," adding, "We will continue to strive to apply the various activities introduced through the performance sharing meeting to district administration."
