Gwangju Bank’s ‘New Gwang Eun Master System’ Annual Master Awards Ceremony

Gwangju Bank’s ‘New Gwang Eun Master System’ Annual Master Awards Ceremony

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Bank announced on the 2nd that it has selected a total of 63 employees as the second half of 2022 'Sales Masters' and the annual 'Gwang-eun Masters' through the 'New Gwang-eun Master System.'

Implemented since January last year, the 'New Gwang-eun Master System' is a unique program of Gwangju Bank that evaluates employees' sales activities with reliable indices and rewards and encourages them. It selects 'Sales Masters' on a semi-annual basis in 15 categories (deposits, loans, cards, foreign exchange, funds, bancassurance, pension trusts, strategic loans, active customers, sales support, savings, PB, corporate loans, IT, digital), and at the end of the year, selects the annual 'Gwang-eun Masters' from candidates of the first and second half 'Sales Masters.'

Gwangju Bank evaluated that through the 'New Gwang-eun Master System,' it has simultaneously achieved two goals by encouraging employees who are struggling at the forefront with customers despite difficult business environments due to issues such as interest rate hikes and digitalization of finance, while positively impacting the strengthening of sales capabilities that lead the bank's future competitiveness.

Considerable efforts have followed to establish the 'New Gwang-eun Master System' as a unique culture of Gwangju Bank that encourages and motivates each other rather than causing overheated competition among employees.

In addition to the semi-annual selection of 'Sales Masters,' monthly 'special Masters' are selected, and various events are held frequently to encourage active participation of all employees and continuously support the creation of an atmosphere for strengthening sales capabilities.

As a result, the 'New Gwang-eun Master System' has brought about the effect of early establishment as a competitive corporate culture unique to Gwangju Bank through the formation of consensus among employees.

Song Jong-wook, President of Gwangju Bank, rewarded the employees selected as the annual 'Gwang-eun Masters' and said, "I hope that through the 'New Gwang-eun Master System,' a culture of filling each other's shortcomings and sharing together among employees will be established." He added, "To leap forward as a sustainable 100-year bank, all executives and employees should engage in their work with confidence and passion armed with change and innovation to achieve substantial qualitative growth."
