YBIZ Co., Ltd. announced that it showcased the ‘Hwasubun’ service at the Germany International Invention Exhibition held in November, which accurately analyzes soil conditions in open fields through an intelligent moisture measurement system, maximizing farmers' production capacity. YBIZ was the only company in the smart farm sector to be recognized for its technology and received an award.
The ‘Germany International Invention Exhibition’ is one of the world's top three invention exhibitions alongside the Pittsburgh International Invention Exhibition in the USA and the Geneva International Invention Exhibition in Switzerland. This year, 517 inventions from over 20 countries worldwide were exhibited.
YBIZ’s ‘Hwasubun’ system, which can be applied not only to open-field smart farms but also to various fields such as home gardening and office gardening, attracted attention from exhibition officials and visitors as negotiations for exclusive sales rights in Europe were underway during the exhibition period.
Seungbaek Jeong, CEO of YBIZ Co., Ltd., stated, “Unlike horticultural facility agriculture, open-field agriculture, which has demanding breeding environments, accounts for more than 70% of total agriculture and is a very large agricultural sector. Most of the crops we know are cultivated more in open fields than in greenhouses or plant factories. Open-field agriculture is a reality where many countries competitively invest heavily in technological advancements due to climate change and labor shortages caused by demographic decline.”
He continued, “Through support projects from the Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, we were able to quickly commercialize the product through technology transfer and development support. This exhibition gave us confidence in entering the market,” adding, “We are determined to become a rapidly growing smart farm company.”
