[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Wook] As the 6·5·4 Hometown Connection Challenge conducted in Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam, gradually gains momentum, awareness of the hometown love donation system is spreading like a wave among the residents.
Recently, the slogan of the 6·5·4 Hometown Connection Challenge echoed at the Youth Farmers Flea Market held on the Youth Street in Changnyeong-eup.
On November 26, NH Nonghyup Changnyeong-gun Branch participated in the challenge along with a group of young farmers attending the flea market and a youth band active in the region, informing the residents visiting the flea market about the hometown love donation system.
A participant said, “I hope the Hometown Connection Challenge becomes an opportunity to revitalize Changnyeong. I am glad to be part of this meaningful movement.”
Officials from the county and Nonghyup stated, “We appreciate the enthusiastic participation of the residents. We will make thorough preparations ahead of the imminent implementation of the system to successfully establish the Changnyeong-gun hometown love donation system.”
The 6·5·4 Hometown Connection Challenge means “60,000 Changnyeong residents deliver the love of their hometown to 5 fellow townspeople.” It was planned as a voluntary fundraising campaign based on the residents’ affection for their hometown.
