[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Online video service (OTT) Netflix shines a spotlight on director Bong Joon-ho's twenties.

On the 2nd, Netflix announced that it will produce the documentary film "Noranmun: Searching for Director Bong Joon-ho's Unreleased Short Film" (working title, hereafter "Noranmun").

"Noranmun" is a documentary film about the 1990s film enthusiasts' group Noranmun and the young Bong Joon-ho in his twenties, encountered during the search for director Bong Joon-ho's unreleased first short film, "Looking for Paradise." Although Bong's first known work is the short film "White Man" (1994), the real first work is a short animation that was screened only once on Christmas 1992 before an audience of about ten people and has never been publicly released since.

Director Lee Hyuk-rae, a member of the Noranmun club and the first audience, is directing. Producer Kim Hyung-ok, actors Woo Hyun and Ahn Nae-sang, and director Choi Jong-tae each recall memories to reminisce about the origins of Bong Joon-ho and the era of film enthusiasts. Scheduled for release in 2023.
