Members of a volunteer group are participating in a kimchi-making sharing event at Beuniel Church in Yeonje-gu.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Korea Racing Authority Busan Yeonje Branch held a "Love Kimchi Making for the Elderly Living Alone" event on the 29th.
About 30 people from social welfare volunteer organizations, including Yeonje Neighbor Love Association, Yeonje-gu Women's Volunteer Society, and Busan Daycare Busan Day Protection, participated in this event.
The event took place at Brniel Church located in Yeonsan-dong, and the Racing Authority Yeonje Branch donated 5 million won to prepare and deliver kimchi to 100 vulnerable households, including elderly living alone and dementia patients in need of care.
Branch Manager Bae Gi-han said, "I hope this brings some comfort to the local elderly in difficult circumstances, and we will continue to carry out activities that contribute to forming a welfare community in the local society as a public institution."
The Korea Racing Authority Yeonje Branch has been steadily practicing sharing by donating a total of 70 million won this year through donation project contests to support vulnerable groups, revitalize local businesses, and create jobs.
