[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook Tire) announced on the 2nd that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Daeyoung Chaebi, a company specializing in electric vehicle charging services, to expand their strategic partnership for the installation of electric vehicle charging facilities.

The signing ceremony held on the 1st at Daeyoung Chaebi Gangnam Seocho Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul was attended by Lee Sang-geun, Hankook Tire Retail Sales Director, and Jung Min-gyo, CEO of Daeyoung Chaebi. Both companies agreed to actively cooperate in building related infrastructure to expand accessibility to electric vehicle charging in line with the rapid electrification trend in the automotive market.

Through this agreement, Hankook Tire plans to introduce Chaebi’s latest electric vehicle charging facilities at its tire-centered total automotive service specialty stores, ‘T Station,’ providing convenient charging services to visiting customers. Additionally, the two companies will jointly conduct promotions related to charging services to enhance customer convenience and actively expand cooperation in the electric vehicle sector.

Based on its excellent technological capabilities, the company has expanded into overseas markets such as the Americas and Europe.
