[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Min-jae] The Small Enterprise and Market Service (SEMAS) announced on the 2nd that, in collaboration with the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise Associations, it will hold the '2022 Korea Small Business Conference' at KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province.
The Small Business Conference was established to enhance the social status of small business owners and to improve relations with local residents. It has been held annually since 2006, marking its 17th year this year.
The conference, under the slogan "Innovative Small Business Owners, Growing Entrepreneurs!", consists of ▲Meritorious Service Awards ▲Small Business Fair (Skills Competition) ▲Excellent Local Product Evaluation ▲Entrepreneurial Small Business Performance Exhibition ▲Smart Technology Pitching Contest ▲Experience Zones.
At the opening ceremony, awards will be presented to exemplary small business owners and meritorious contributors. The Small Business Fair (Skills Competition) will feature about 2,000 small business owners from six industries, including the Korea Makeup Beauty Association and the Korea Custom Tailoring Association, showcasing their skilled techniques and talents.
Additionally, the Excellent Local Product Evaluation, held as a side event, aims to discover competitive local small business products and promote their market expansion and product publicity nationwide.
Park Sung-hyo, Chairman of SEMAS, stated, "Through this conference, we will discover and nurture innovative small business owners and continuously support their leap to becoming growing entrepreneurs," adding, "I hope this event becomes an opportunity for small business owners, who are the foundation of our economy, to gain useful information and exchange with each other."
