DA Technology Forms Strategic Partnership with Turkish TEMSA on Electric Bus Batteries

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] DA Technology (CEO Lee Jongwook), a specialized company in secondary battery manufacturing equipment, announced on the 1st that it has signed a strategic partnership (MOU) with TEMSA for the development and manufacturing of batteries for electric buses and commercial vehicles. TEMSA is a leading bus manufacturer in Turkey and one of the major bus manufacturers worldwide.

Through this strategic partnership, DA Technology plans to actively cooperate in prioritizing the supply of secondary battery manufacturing automation lines to TEMSA for five years.

Based on the global boom in the secondary battery industry, DA Technology is expanding its global supply of secondary battery manufacturing equipment. Leveraging its history of supplying equipment to domestic global battery manufacturers, it has been recognized for excellent quality and performance, leading to active orders from secondary battery manufacturers in the United States and Russia, as well as from U.S. automobile manufacturers.

DA Technology, which has a diverse product lineup including pilot lines for semi-solid battery equipment and laser patterning equipment, is also reportedly in discussions to supply related equipment to a conglomerate in India engaged in energy, distribution, and telecommunications businesses.

A DA Technology official stated, “If the strategic business agreement leads to orders for battery equipment supply to TEMSA, the initial volume is being discussed at a minimum scale of 16 billion KRW, and sales of approximately 150 billion KRW are expected over the next five years. With stable equipment quality and price competitiveness, proposals for business cooperation from overseas clients are increasing, and growth through global market expansion is anticipated.”
