[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] SK ecoplant announced its 2023 organizational restructuring and executive appointments on the 1st.
Through this organizational restructuring, SK ecoplant optimized related business units and expanded its global organization to transform into a global leading company.
First, the environmental business was reorganized into the Global Eco BU (Business Unit) and Domestic Eco BU in line with the company's overall strategic direction, establishing a responsible management system. The Global Eco BU will focus on overseas market entry, while the Domestic Eco BU plans to strengthen business development functions and expand upstream areas to further solidify its position as a market-leading company.
The energy business newly established the Distributed Energy Business Division, Global Energy Division, and Americas Business Division under the existing Eco Energy BU. It plans to diversify fuel cell-based businesses and strengthen global capabilities in hydrogen and water electrolysis businesses to accelerate securing overseas market leadership and growth potential.
Additionally, the solution business (plant, housing & construction, infrastructure) newly established the Net-Zero business group under the existing Eco Solution BU and reorganized the organization focusing on core businesses such as urban regeneration and resource circulation.
In this personnel appointment, SK ecoplant selected new executives with expertise and change-driving leadership mainly in the environmental and energy sectors, and plans to continuously nurture outstanding talent going forward.
