[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The People Power Party published the "2022 National Assembly Inspection White Paper" on the 1st, which contains the main activities of the National Assembly inspection.
This white paper includes content exposing the realities of the previous administration, such as ▲income-led growth ▲nuclear phase-out policy ▲solar power corruption ▲broadcasting control ▲entrenched personnel appointments.
In the summary of the National Assembly inspection by the Planning and Finance Committee, under the section "Evaluation of the Moon Jae-in Government's 5 Years," it pointed out that the number of employed persons sharply declined in 2018 due to the minimum wage increase as part of income-led growth, and that the Moon administration disguised policy failure by significantly increasing ultra-short-term jobs through fiscal input to manipulate statistics.
Also, in the summary of the National Assembly inspection by the Science, Technology, Information and Broadcasting and Communications Committee, it criticized, "Due to the failure of the Moon Jae-in government's nuclear phase-out policy, Korea Electric Power Corporation's deficit expanded and the burden on the public increased," and "The nuclear phase-out caused the collapse of the domestic nuclear ecosystem and the deterioration of national industrial competitiveness."
The white paper also highlighted in the summary of the National Assembly inspection by the Agriculture, Food, Rural Affairs, Oceans and Fisheries Committee that "Numerous cases of damage to rural farming, mountain, and fishing villages nationwide caused by the Moon Jae-in government's reckless renewable energy policies such as solar power and offshore wind power were pointed out, and responsibility was urged for the wrong policy implementation that threatens the livelihoods of farmers and fishermen."
Content directly targeting Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, regarding the "Daejang-dong scandal" was also included.
In the summary of the National Assembly inspection by the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee, it pointed out "Still ongoing, the ultimate corruption scandal, the Lee Jae-myung gate," raising suspicions of the ▲Kim Man-bae - Eun Soo-mi - Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) triangular connection ▲Lee Jae-myung's fabricated political moratorium declaration ▲the 10-year suspension of excess profit recovery in Seongnam City's Pangyo district ▲and retaliation personnel appointments against officials who opposed the reduction of rental apartments in the Baekhyeon-dong development project, considering these as achievements of the Land Committee's inspection.
It also stated that as follow-up measures and continuous monitoring, it would consider requesting an audit from the Board of Audit and Inspection or the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and urge the Ministry to play a coordinating role so that the excess profit recovery measures for the Pangyo development project can be promptly implemented.
The People Power Party said, "This white paper is a record of the National Assembly inspection by party members who evaluated the Moon Jae-in administration's 5 years and checked the implementation status of the Yoon Suk-yeol government's national agenda," adding, "Despite being conducted under the worst circumstances of 'major opposition party's obstruction of state affairs,' the People Power Party did its best to expose the incompetence, hypocrisy, and failures of the previous administration."
