Digital Artist Showcased at Design Miami
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Audi Korea announced on the 1st that Audi will showcase the brand's first digital art at Design Miami in collaboration with digital artist and designer Andres Reisinger. This work is inspired by Audi's Grand Sphere concept, and Design Miami is the fourth design event Audi is participating in this year, following Milan Design Week and two exhibitions held in Beijing and Shenzhen. A special conversation with the artist is also scheduled on-site.
Having been a dedicated supporter of various international design events for a long time, Audi plans to be the exclusive partner of Design Miami this year and also participate in the exhibition. So far, at Design Miami, Audi has discussed the future of design through creative dialogues with designers and experimented with mobility, technology, and design. At this year's Design Miami Audi pavilion, Argentine digital artist and designer Andres Reisinger will present LED display digital art.
Henrik Wenders, Head of the Audi Brand, said, “Audi aims to collaborate with like-minded individuals to provide meaningful and engaging experiences for premium mobility and design. Together with Andres Reisinger, we will present an interior design reinterpreted digitally and explore realms beyond physical installations.”
Audi will also showcase the Audi Grand Sphere concept, which inspired this digital art, in Miami. Presenting the art exhibition alongside the vehicle well illustrates Audi's definition of future progressive premium mobility. The Audi Grand Sphere concept transforms a simple car into an “experience device” through a fully digitalized vehicle interior, offering visitors a new high-class mobility experience through this innovative vehicle experience.
Level 4 autonomous driving offers a new dimension of freedom to drivers and passengers. In this mode, the interior of the luxury sedan becomes a spacious experience space without a steering wheel, pedals, or dashboard, and the space, structure, and functions can be configured according to the driver's preferences and needs. Reisinger presented a work interpreting the immersive experience concept of the Audi Grand Sphere concept into a virtual world composed of his own structures and colors, aiming to reveal this personal space.
Reisinger depicted an extended reality surrounding the passengers seated in the concept car, creating a surreal space that transcends the boundaries between reality and fiction.
During Design Miami, a special panel talk with Andres Reisinger is planned on-site. Tara Rush (Audi USA CMO), Arthur Casas (architect and founder of Studio Casas), and Immo Lederer (Head of Audi Interior Design) will join Reisinger in the talk show to discuss designing fascinating new immersive spaces and experiences encompassing digital spaces, future automotive mobility, and interior concepts.
