SO·PP Festival Venue... 79 Awards Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] Korea's only paid broadcasting awards ceremony, the 'Cable TV Broadcasting Awards,' has returned.
The Korea Cable TV Broadcasting Association held the '2022 Cable TV Broadcasting Awards' on the 30th at the Grand Ballroom of the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul. The Cable TV Broadcasting Awards is the only awards ceremony in the paid broadcasting industry that encompasses both System Operators (SO) and Program Providers (PP).

This year, the scale was expanded to welcome about 250 attendees including awardees and paid broadcasting industry workers. The event was also broadcast live on the official YouTube channel.
Prime Minister Han Duck-soo encouraged in his congratulatory speech, “In the era of digital transformation, the role of cable broadcasting is increasingly anticipated,” and added, “I hope today’s event will be an opportunity to further advance the K-content industry, which is brimming with creativity and innovation.”
Lee Rae-woon, Chairman of the Korea Cable TV Broadcasting Association, said, “I thank the cable TV production teams who created the best works ever and the contributors who brightened our neighborhoods through local channels, fitting for a festival full of rich content,” and added, “Please continue to show great interest in cable TV, which brings endless laughter to living rooms.”
