[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Kolmar Holdings announced on the 30th that it has been selected as a leading domestic company continuously practicing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.
Kolmar Holdings stated that on the 29th, it was appointed as a '2023 Lead Group' at the '2022 Korea Leaders Summit' held by the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Korea Network at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jung-gu, Seoul. Following its successful UNGC membership in August last year, the company was recognized for leading sustainable management and contributing to the dissemination of the UNGC's 10 principles and the achievement of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
The UNGC Korea Network strives to spread a culture of sustainable management and reviews companies actively engaged in UNGC activities to select Lead Groups annually. The UNGC, a UN-affiliated organization, is the world's largest initiative encouraging ESG management practices.
Kolmar Holdings has accelerated its ESG management efforts. Last year, it introduced a Compliance Program (CP) and implemented various policies to expand corporate social responsibility. Notably, it established policies for operating an 'Anti-Corruption and Compliance Management System' and has been conducting CP training for all employees.
This month, the company also obtained integrated certification for the Anti-Corruption Management System (ISO 37001) and Compliance Management System (ISO 37301). These certifications are international standards established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to ensure companies operate in accordance with anti-corruption and bribery prevention measures, all laws, regulations, and codes of conduct.
Byungjun Ahn, CEO of Kolmar Holdings, said, "As sustainable management emerges as a core value in international corporate management, it is meaningful to be selected as a sustainable management Lead Group. We will continue to fulfill our social responsibilities and pursue management activities at a global level in human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption."
